a plausible or scientifically acceptable general principle or body of principles offered to explain phenomena. This is the definition of theory. So how does adding conspiracy make it less true? The facts proving possibility of conspiracy are the theory. Does adding the word conspiracy make something untrue? No more that adding the word relativity, Evolution, Conflict. Neoliberalism, Keynesian Economics, Communism, What makes these things untrue?
