Not sure why people are in love with the Amish. Really just alone how they treat animals is heartbreaking. Nevermind how many teens a shunned with barely an 8th grade education and no way of supporting themselves. They also have a large drug problem among their young.

Yeah they have a strong PR firm, but they are actually brutal towards their animals. And the largest group for puppy mills. But because they vote in one block they have managed to shut down any legislation to restrict/ban them. They also don't allow outsiders to investigate crime so it doesn't get reported althought there were a couple news stories of higher ups going to jail for rackateering and such.
