So what is everyone's take on the tarrifs? Do you think it will cause a depression or actually balance the trade imbalance?
Donna Armstrong
I think it will cause a short recession as it has to hurt the other countries first, as well, in order to get them to concede and lower their tariffs. I never realized how much the difference was that other countries have us pay when they paid next to nothing on our tariffs. We pay 67% tariff to China, 90% to Vietnam, 72% Thailand, 97% Cambodia and the other countries are around 60%. Our tariffs are anywhere from 10% to 30% with our highest of 46 % to Thailand. We are getting abused with the tariffs from other countries so something has to be done. Yes it takes time, but sometimes you got to stand up to the “bullies” who take advantage and hopefully don’t get knocked down. Really wishing it brings back manufacturing to the US which will enrich our people with jobs, lower cost and more money in the pockets of the American people.

But I think this new generation is soft, and want instant gratification. Can They stand the heat or will they vote to flip the house and senate.

Holly You’re right they do want instant gratification and yes that definitely can hurt the vote especially with the left promoting their propaganda against Trump. We cannot improve the deficit or bring jobs back. We will go back the way it was for the last 4 years. The other countries will see our weakness and we will definitely have more problems besides high cost, illegals and tariffs. We can only hope the other countries break soon and want to renegotiate.
